Lisbon in three days: tram 28, Belém and a trip to Sintra

A compact plan for a long weekend in Lisbon, flying from Switzerland.
From Zurich or Geneva, Lisbon is about three hours away. Ideal for a long weekend and still warm in autumn.
Day 1: Alfama and Baixa
Ride tram 28 through the old town, ideally early in the morning. Then walk up to the Miradouro da Senhora do Monte.
Day 2: Belém
Jerónimos Monastery, Belém Tower and a pastel de nata. Buying tickets online saves queuing.
Day 3: Sintra
The train from Rossio takes about 40 minutes. Book time slots for Pena Palace and Quinta da Regaleira in advance.
